Two Bigots Spitting Venom

In Illinois, committed same-sex couples are lining up to take advantage of a modest civil unions law - and here comes Peter LaBarbera quivering with rage and hissing about how loving gay and lesbian relationships are without value and deserve no legal protections.  Writes the Master Worm:  Homosexual behavior is always wrong, according to the broad sweep of Judeo-Christian history, so it is tragic to behold the State of Illinois – or any government entity – recognizing immoral same-sex relationships...  The anti-Christian Civil Unions law must be repealed.  It was passed in a lame-duck session that once again revealed the contempt that liberal Illinois lawmakers have for the citizens they are supposed to serve. Ironically, shortly after passage of this bill – mischievously titled the Religious Freedom Protection and Civil Unions Act – religious liberty for Illinois citizens and religious institutions was immediately put in jeopardy...  We must work diligently to repeal this anti-Christian law, while also collecting 300,000 signatures to put a referendum on “same-sex marriage” on the Illinois ballot in 2012.  LaBarbera is head of the hate group AFTAH.  For his own amusement (since surely nobody else is amused) "Porno" Pete routinely dons leather attire and attends S&M gatherings in order to "document the depravity" and no doubt file away some salacious memories for later enjoyment.

LaBarbera's cold-blooded brother in bigotry, Bryan Fischer of the American Family Association (another SPLC-designated hate group) has also been emptying his venom sacs.  In May, Fischer upped his usual shrill demagoguery by comparing gays to Nazis.  Now the former pastor is attacking DADT repeal:  "You're going to have the homosexual lobby committing one hate crime after another against service members, especially officers who have deeply held convictions about the acceptance of homosexual behavior.  And so I'm predicting that things are about to get very ugly in the United States military for people of faith... This is gonna be virtual genocide, military genocide, career genocide for people of faith in the military perpetrated by the homosexual lobby."  (Not to be confused with Hobby Lobby, where people of varying tastes go to purchase household accessories.")  Kyle at Right Wing Watch provides the video.
