Happy Birthday To The Love Of My Life ...

Happy Birthday to my partner Art.  The twenty-nine years we've spent together have been bliss.

This portrait was painted by my dear friend, New York artist Zina Saunders.  I emailed her a dozen or so photos to work from.  She brilliantly combined two of my favorites.  The original watercolor is now hanging above our fireplace.

Great painting. The way she uses colors for shading is unusual but it works. My GF does portraits in pastel. She's pretty good but nothing like this.

Nice portrait. I always like seeing Saunders art. She's pretty famous. I really like her funny Sarah Palin illustrations. I've seen her stuff on C&L and Mother Jone and other big sites.... You must be tight with her to get her to do something like this. Kudos.
