Libby Shaw makes this astute observation on Burnt Orange Report: I swear, the louder they scream and bellyache about something the more likely it is that Republicans have: 1. Done it. 2. They are fixing to do it. 3. They are in the middle of doing it. This seems to apply to the Palin family with stunning regularity.
"Hypocrisy is prejudice with a halo." ~ Ambrose Bierce
Sam Stein reports for Huffington Post: Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin -- who has gone to great lengths to hype the supposed dangers of a big government takeover of American health care -- admitted over the weekend that she used to get her treatment in Canada's single-payer system. "We used to hustle over the border for health care we received in Canada," Palin said in her first Canadian appearance since stepping down as governor of Alaska. "And I think now, isn't that ironic?" (Yes, isn't it just.) The irony, one guesses, is that Palin now views Canada's health care system as revolting: with its government-run administration and 'death-panel'-like rationing. Clearly, however, she and her family found it more alluring than, at the very least, the coverage available in rural Alaska.
"The true hypocrite is one who ceases to perceive his deception, the one who lies with sincerity." ~ André Gide"Hypocrisy in anything whatever may deceive the cleverest and most penetrating man, but the least wide-awake of children recognizes it, and is revolted by it, however ingeniously it may be disguised." ~ Tolstoy
"I hope you have not been leading a double life, pretending to be wicked and being really good all the time. That would be hypocrisy." ~ Oscar Wilde

I guess Canadian health care isn't that bad. The US should be so lucky to have a system like they do.
