Omarosa - and Those Fools at Fox News
Fox News, in its continuing quest for journalistic integrity, has called on one of the nation's great political thinkers to share her views on President-elect Barack Obama's "cabinet of strong personalities." Anchor (and senior vice president of Business News) Neil Cavuto yesterday introduced the person he deemed most qualified to analyze the intricacies of our new Commander-in-Chief's foreign policy team: Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth - or, as fans of the now-defunct reality TV series The Apprentice know her, Omarosa The Contestant Who Bitched A Lot And Didn't Get Hired By Donald Trump. Cavuto preps his viewers (via News Hounds): "Now, we could talk to a foreign policy expert on how they sort this out but we thought that would be boring and frankly unrevealing so that is why we went to this young lady, Omarosa."
With in-depth political coverage like this, is it any wonder that Fox is popular with America's knowledge-seeking conservatives? The "fair and balanced" cable news outlet regularly treats its viewers to the expert opinions of such notables as Pat Boone, Victoria Jackson, Danny Bonaduce, Ted Nugent, and Chuck Norris, proving (as if anybody still needed proof) that Fox News is always prepared to meet its own high journalistic standards. I suppose next they'll be inviting Judge Judy to discuss possible Supreme Court appointments. Pass the peas.
