Yesterday George W. Bush was interviewed by NBC Sports correspondent Bob Costas. Bob asked the president about America's current diplomatic clout:
Costas: But given China’s growing strength and America’s own problems, realistically how much leverage and influence does the U.S. have here?
Bush: First of all, I don’t see America having problems.
Oh, really? The U.S. economy? The war in Iraq? Health care? Gas prices? Lost jobs? Home foreclosures? Well, if you say so, Mr. President.
